CHAIR SCIENTIFIC SCHOOLS

Strength and  durability of structural materials, taking into account the initial and acquired damage

Scientific supervisor - corr.-member of NASU, doctor of technical sciences, prof. Bobyr M.I.

The scientific school deals with the problems of structural elements strength and durability under complex thermomechanical load conditions, taking into account the influence of the kinetics of microdamage accumulation in the material during its elasto-plastic deformation. Within the framework of scientific works various operating conditions and load trajectories are investigated, both classical metal and the newest composite materials are considered. When performing research, the modern instrumental base of the  echanical laboratory of the department is widely used, the use of which makes it possible to conduct field experiments for various elements and equipment.

Within the framework of the scientific school problems the following defenses of the PhD dissertations took place:

- Lavrenko Iaroslav Ivanovich (2014) "Dynamics and durability of high precision centrifuges"

- Koval Viktor Viktorovich (2018) "Low-cyclic fatigue of structural elements taking into account damage"

- Pham Duc Quan (2019) "Failure criterion of structural materials with taking into account damage"

Finite element modelling of processes and systems

Scientific supervisor - doctor of technical sciences, prof. Tsybenko O.S.

The main activities of the scientific school are FEM analysis of various structures and components used in engineering, aerospace, heat, biomechanics, etc. in terms of their strength and reliability. Problems of substantiation of resource extension optimizing weight-strength characteristics are solved. The main material base of the scientific school is the computer center of the department.

Within the framework of the scientific school problems the following defenses of the PhD dissertations took place:

- Yeshchenko Victor Oleksiiovych (2016) "The stress-strain state of metal osteosynthesis biomechanical systems"

- Maslyey Volodymyr Mykytovich (2018) "Strength of Composite Thermo-Dimensionally Stable Load Bearing Structures of Spacecraft under Dynamic Loads"

- Rybalka Anton Oleksiyovich (2019) "Dynamics and strength of nanosatellite PolyItan-2-SAU under stage of flying"
